עושה רושם שפיספו את העובדה שיש כאן מידע מאוד מפתיע לגבי מידת החדירה של קוד פתוח ולינוקס במגזרים שמיקרוסופט עושה מאמצים נואשים לחדור אליהם בעיקר תחום הממשלה שהוא אחד התחומים הכי מכניסים, גם בתקופות שפל כשהשוק הפרטי זהיר יותר ברכישות.
ביחד עם כל המאמרים שמתפרסמים כאן עם מידע על פעילות במדינות שונות אפשר להסיק שקוד פתוח עבר מזמן את סף הקוריוז והוא יותר מאשר כלי להכות בו את מיקרוסופט, אלא חלופה ממשית בלי קשר למה יש למיקרוסופט למכור.
